Davey, P., 2009: A transient resident on Tresco in the Isles of Scilly between 1956 and 1957, otherwise a rare immigrant, the larva feeding on evergreen oak (Quercus ilex), the shrub 'rock rose' (Cistus spp.), common myrtle (Myrtus communis) and strawberry tree (Arbutus unedo). The moth is resident in the Mediterranean zone of southern Europe where large swathes of evergreen forest carpet the region.
