Davey, P., 2009: A species restricted to southern and south-western Britain, the larva feeding on lichens growing on oak (Quercus spp.), beech (Fagus sylvatica) and conifers. In Dorset, "an insect of most uncertain appearance, which occasionally occurs in large numbers." (W Parkinson-Curtis ms).
