Haplotinea ditella

(Pierce & Metcalfe, 1938)211 / 12.043

Phil Sterling (2008): A species not recognised in Britain until 1938, so it is possible that historical records of H. insectella (212) may refer to this species. It has only been found in this country in warehouses and granaries. The adult moth may be seen summer and autumn and the larva feeds on stored products, especially grain. PHS has not traced the source of the only vc9 record.

Determination by Genitalia Examination (gen. det.) Required
