Peter Davey / Phil Sterling, 2020: Absent from much of Scotland and occurring more frequently as one heads south through the UK, the larva feeding on hemp agrimony Eupatorium cannabinum. In Dorset, this species is found where its host plant flourishes, for example, in river valleys, along forest tracks on alkaline soils, on roadside ditches adjacent to heathland, and in undercliff in the west of the county.
