Pterophorus pentadactyla

Peter Davey / Phil Sterling, 2020: A widespread and often common species in the UK, the larva feeding on convolvulus Calystegia sepium and bindweed Convolvulus arvensis. In Dorset, the moth is found commonly throughout the county, especially in urban habitat, on waste ground, on unimproved dry grassland on alkaline soils, and in wetlands.
