Platyptilia gonodactyla

Peter Davey / Phil Sterling, 2020: A widespread species in Britain found predominantly in anthropomorphic and wayside habitat, the larva feeding on coltsfoot Tussilago farfara. In Dorset, this Plume species occurs widely, wherever coltsfoot grows in quantity and is especially associated with the coastal undercliff of west Dorset and sand and gravel pits in the heathland areas.

Flight: Two generations, May - June and August - September
Foodplant:   Coltsfoot, Butter-bur.
