Davey, P., 2009: A locally common species in England, the larva feeding on hay, thatch and dried leaf litter. In Dorset, the moth is widespread but at low density, rising to common, locally, in old oak woodland such as Bracket's Coppice, Holt Forest and Arne Wood, and on thatched buildings.
