Davey, P., 2009: A local species in southern Britain, the larva feeding on hemp agrimony (Eupatorium cannabinum), wood sage (Teucrium scorodonia) and woundworts (Stachys spp.).

In Dorset, the moth is at low density but widespread, and found in a range of biotypes that include: hemp-agrimony rich wetland at Trigon Ford and at Kingcombe, undercliff at Durlston, woodland on chalk soils at Stubhampton, and wood sage rich woodland rides in Holt Forest, near Green Pool and in Arne Wood.
