Davey, P., 2009: A species of mire and moorland in northern and western Britain, the larval foodplant is unknown; abroad it is stated to feed on mosses (Musci spp.). In Dorset, old records from the north-east of the county, if valid, suggest colonisation of mire habitat in the past: Cranborne, three in 1902, 1903 and 1906 (Reverend F Fisher).
