Davey, P., 2009: A local species restricted to bogs in England and Wales, the larval foodplant is unknown, although sedges (Carex spp.) and associated hydrophilous plants are suspected. In Dorset, the moth is confined to mire and wet heathland habitat where it is abundant very locally; it is on the wing between mid-June and mid-July.
