Phil Sterling, 2008: A widespread and common species in England and Wales, less common in Scotland. The larva mines the leaf of hawthorn (Crataegus spp.). See also S. oxyacanthella (100).

Verification Grade Comment: Vacated mines may sometimes be unidentifiable
