Davey, P., 2009: A species restricted mainly to the coasts of southern England and East Anglia, the larva feeding on the inner stems of bulrush (Typha spp.), yellow iris (Iris pseudacorus), and branched bur-reed (Sparganium erectum). The species is reputed to always colonise habitat containing common reed (Phragmites australis) although it is apparently never a host plant.
