Davey, P., 2009: A local species restricted to southern England, east Anglia and the south coast of Wales, the larva feeding within the inner stems of common reed (Phragmites australis). In Dorset, the moth is common within all the larger reedbeds. It is recorded regularly from the Fleet, Radipole, Lodmoor, Poole Harbour and Christchurch Harbour.
