Davey, P., 2009: A sparsely distributed species in England, the larva feeding on the roots and inner stems of butterbur (Petasites hybridus). In Dorset, the moth is local and under-researched. The foodplant is virtually absent from Purbeck and sandy soils, but forms colonies along streams and sometimes on damp verges in the west and north of the county.
