Davey, P., 2009: A common species throughout Britain, the larva feeding on the roots and inner stems of a wide variety of herbaceous plants. In Dorset, the moth is widespread and common, although at low density in open heathland. It is on the wing for a relatively protracted period between late July and mid October.
