Davey, P., 2009: A widespread species in England and Wales, local in Scotland, the larva feeding nocturnally on lichens growing on rocks, walls and roofs, including Lecidea confluens and Xanthoria paroetina. In Dorset, the moth is most often recorded, albeit at low density in suburbia and on rocky or pebbly coastlines.
