Davey, P., 2009: A local species limited to England and Wales, the larva feeding on birch (Betula spp.), beech (Fagus spp.), oak (Quercus spp.), pine (Pinus spp.), yew (Taxus baccata) and a variety of other tree species. In Dorset, the moth is local, at low density, but widespread, and tends to occur in similar mixed woodland habitat to that colonised by Satin Beauty.
