Davey, P., 2009: A common species in Britain, the larva feeding on blackthorn (Prunus spp.), hawthorn (Crateagus spp.), rowan (Sorbus aucuparia) and many other deciduous shrubs and trees. In Dorset, the moth is widespread and common away from open heathland, and abundant in blackthorn localities.
