Davey, P., 2009: A local species in Britain, the larva feeding internally on norway spruce (Picea abies), douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) and western hemlock (Tsuga heterophylla). In Dorset, the moth is often common in fir plantations where it can readily be flushed out of the lower 'needle-rich' branches during the day.
