Davey, P., 2009: A species occurring throughout Britain, the larva feeding on sallow catkins (Salix spp.). In Dorset, the moth is found wherever grey willow (Salix cinerea) grows in hedgerow, woodland edge, undercliff or at water edge habitats; it is usually at low density. This species is similar to Maple Pug. Diagnostics include: small; a small but conspicuous discal spot; a full and rounded forewing.
