Davey, P., 2009: A local species confined to southern England, the larva feeding on hedge bedstraw (Galium mollugo) and lady's bedstraw (Galium verum). In Dorset, the moth is rare. The few records hint at a similar distribution to that of the Ruddy Carpet, but even more thinly spread. The majority of inland records tend to be from unimproved grassland on chalky soils where lady's bedstraw is probably the main foodplant. Conservation measures are the same as those proposed for Ruddy Carpet.
