In Dorset, the moth has been recorded in thirty-three sites, but only a maximum of two or three records in any single year for any single locality. The exception is a damp deciduous woodland site at Merley close to the River Stour near Wimborne where approximately forty percent of all Dorset records have occurred in just two years of trapping.
