Davey, P., 2009: A local species in England, the larva feeding on heather (Calluna vulgaris). In Dorset, the moth is restricted to sandy soil where it colonises dry heather-clad heathland. It may be disturbed from heather during the daytime, but is more frequently seen at light traps.
