Davey, P., 2009: A locally common species in southern Britain, very local in northern England, the larva feeding on traveller's joy (Clematis vitalba), and abroad also on Ranunculaceae species. In Dorset, the moth is found wherever traveller's joy grows in woods, plantations and hedges, mostly on soils with high calcium content.
