Davey, P., 2009: A widespread species, and common in montane regions in northern Britain, the larva feeding on various herbaceous plants including nettle (Urtica dioica), dead-nettle (Lamium spp.), hedge woundwort (Stachys sylvatica) and wood-avens (Geum urbanum). In Dorset, the moth is widespread but at low density, being most frequent in open deciduous woodland.
