Davey, P., 2009: A predominantly coastal saltern and dune species in Britain, the larva feeding on the roots and stem bases of grasses. In Dorset, the moth is local and at low density, confined to coastal marsh, fen and saltern habitat. It is recorded regularly from the Fleet, Radipole, Lodmoor, Poole Harbour and Christchurch Harbour. Many examples trapped inland, suggest that the moth undertakes short to medium-range dispersal occasionally.
