Davey, P., 2009: A widespread species in Britain, the larva feeding on oak (Quercus spp.), hawthorn (Crataegus spp.), sallow (SalixUlmus spp.) and other deciduous tree species. In Dorset, the moth is locally abundant in deciduous woodland, but becomes scarce in open tree-less habitat, for example, there are no records from Portland.
