Davey, P., 2009: A rare immigrant species to southern Britain, and resident in southern Iberia and Africa, the larva feeding on herbaceous plants. In Dorset, this enigmatic and exotic moth has been recorded in the nineteenth century: 1871(10), 1874(2), 1875(1), 1876(3), 1882(1), 1892(1), 1893(1), in the twentieth century: 1929(1), 1961(2), 1990(4) and 1992(1), and in the twenty-first century: 2006(5).
