Davey, P., 2009: A widespread species in England and east Wales, local elsewhere, the larva feeding on plum, blackthorn, cherry (Prunus spp.) and apple (Malus spp.). In Dorset, the moth has a patchy distribution and ranges from largely absent on heathland to locally common on clay and chalky soils where blackthorn is frequent.
