Davey, P., 2009: A transitory resident, surviving at Dungeness since 1979 and occurring in south-east Kent prior to 1912, the larva feeds on sallow and willow (Salix spp.) and poplar (Populus spp.). In Dorset, the species has been recorded on two occasions. As for the 1909 record, "No explanation of this record occurs to me." (WPC).
