Davey, P., 2009: A local species restricted to southern and western Britain, the larva feeding on birch (Betula spp.) and sallow (Salix spp.). In Dorset the moth is resident at a single site amongst birch woodland on bog and wet heath, and more than fifty observations refer to this species.
